Congratulations to CREDA Southern Nevada Board Member Deana Marcello on being named one of Connect CRE’s 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners for the Phoenix & Southwest region!

As Executive Vice President at Colliers, Deana leads the Malan + Marcello Retail & Investment Team, which has completed more than $3.2 BILLION in transaction volume. Her expertise spans retail leasing, investment sales, acquisitions and site selection, with notable transactions involving Las Vegas’ Chinatown district, BLVD Las Vegas and major retail investment properties throughout the region.

But Deana’s contributions go well beyond the deals.

A longtime advocate for professional development and industry leadership, she has also served as Chair of CREDA Southern Nevada’s Developing Leaders Institute, helping support the next generation of commercial real estate professionals.

Today, we’re fortunate to have her experience, perspective and dedication represented on our Board of Directors.

Recognition like this is a reminder of the exceptional talent helping shape Southern Nevada’s commercial real estate community, and we’re proud to celebrate Deana’s accomplishments alongside fellow 2026 honoree and CREDA President-Elect Marianna Hunnicutt!

A big congratulations to CREDA Southern Nevada President-Elect Marianna Hunnicutt on being named one of Connect CRE’s 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners for the Phoenix & Southwest region!

As Vice President at Kimley-Horn, Marianna has helped shape some of the region’s most recognizable developments, from Resorts World Las Vegas and IKEA to major industrial and master-planned projects. But her impact extends well beyond the projects themselves.

Throughout her career, Marianna has made mentorship, professional development and industry advocacy a priority, helping develop hundreds of professionals while creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders.

That same commitment is reflected in her involvement with CREDA Southern Nevada, where she serves as our President-Elect and actively advocates for the issues influencing our region’s future, including land availability, water resources and power infrastructure.

Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards recognize accomplished women whose leadership, achievements and dedication to mentorship are making a meaningful impact across the commercial real estate industry.

We couldn’t be prouder to have Marianna helping lead our chapter into its next chapter!

The Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA) said Thursday that its CRE Sentiment Index for Fall 2026 declined to 48 from 52 six months earlier. The latest reading, based on a survey of 401 respondents conducted from Sept. 15-23, is the first to come in below the break-even level of 50 since September 2023.

Driving the decline were concerns over interest rates and construction costs. The favorability score for interest rates slid to 31 from March’s reading of 52, the largest decline between readings since April 2022. Respondents are now more pessimistic about construction material and labor costs than at any time since the April 2022 survey.

On the plus side, respondents expect stronger fundamentals than they did in March. They also expect transaction and project volume to increase, although the current environment favors investments in stabilized properties over new development.

“This fall, respondents are telling us that property-level performance remains strong, while uncertainty around capital markets, costs and policy is shaping when and where new development makes sense,” said Marc Selvitelli, CAE, CREDA president and CEO.
